Change It -- Doyle and John

One for those who went before us...

Wide Open Plain -- Doug Paisley

Thanks Doug for taking me home with this one, my kind of guitar on a Saturday morn along with some fine words of wisdom for anyone interested...

She's Alright -- Doyle & Gary

From big ass to bad ass, oh yeah...

Texas Cadillac -- Smokin' Joe & Bnois

New stuff with that sweet guitar touch from the Z-Man...

With these two, 45 years ago seems just like yesterday to me, look at how the time goes past...

Master Of Disaster -- John Hiatt

Now he's just a mean old bastard when he plays the blues and hell, that's fine by me truth be told...

Candi Staton -- I Ain't Easy To Love

Back home now after being on the road (weather in Nashville and New Orleans perfect last week) and just needed a Muscle Shoals fix to help settle back in...

Anders Osborne -- Live At Telluride

One of several festivals on my bucket list for good reason...

Los Lobos -- On A Sunday Morn

My kind of religion, studio version (with a walk through the Old Town) and live, as good as it gets...

John Hiatt & The Goners -- Twofer

Another gem with a strong message from Hiatt. I once asked DeucE if he could either distract the drummer or kick his ass one or the other while I made off with his racing green drum kit (seen here) while attending a show at the House of Blues in New Orleans. Then we spotted two blondes but I digress because we went home empty handed on both counts. Back in the day, I once overheard some guy tell a friend that Sonny Landreth puts on a clinic every time he straps on a guitar, smart guy, this one's no exception... As if you needed more proof, phenom lyrics especially if you have a daughter or two, Hiatt just had to love this particular band, you see it in his smile and no denyin' his "moves," Dave Ranson on bass, Kenneth Blevins on drums, and yes ladies and gentlemen, Landreth appears to be from another planet...

Steve Winwood -- Can't Find My Way Home

One for DeucE who gave Jetboy his start. Don't think I'll top this one any time soon...

L'Angelus -- Love Don't Care

One for my friend, SC Ray, over South Carolina way. Man, that young Cajun fiddler can play. What's that DeucE, L'Man, and/or you have said on occasion - is it the kids will be alright?

Jason Collett -- Rave On Sad Songs

Will this winter ever go...
