Marcia Ball -- Louisiana's Hot Tamale Baby

Shout out to Big Ray who I believe DeucE said is back in South Carolina, if true then I can get back to calling him SC Ray just 'cause it's one cool nickname in Jb & Skip's book, dig? Perhaps the simple life is the high life...

Boz Scaggs -- From "My Time"

Tune called "We're Gonna Roll" from his 1972 release, while much of this wonderful album was recorded in Muscle Shoals, this track was recorded in San Francisco, the horns are spot on and George Rains on drums simply nails it. Picked it up on vinyl yesterday with not a single scratch for all of $0.25. For it's the simple things in life that seem to really hit home these days...

Stones -- Jammin' Out In The Studio

Not the biggest Stones fan back in the day but now, not sure it gets better than this, better late than never... "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" is a song by English rock band The Rolling Stones from their 1971 album Sticky Fingers. The song is over seven minutes long, and begins with a Keith Richards open-G tuned guitar intro. At two minutes and forty-three seconds, an instrumental break begins, with Rocky Dijon on congas; tenor saxophonist Bobby Keys performs an extended saxophone solo over the guitar work of Richards and Mick Taylor, punctuated by the organ work of Billy Preston. At 4:40 Taylor takes over from Keys and carries the song to its finish with a lengthy guitar solo.
