Son Volt -- Windfall
Seems like yesterday but it was some twenty years ago, crossing Lake Ponchartrain on that old 24-mile Causeway bridge in a Chevy ElCamino with the stereo blaring, no better lyrics to be found then or now especially given this time of year and the bit of hope it brings -
...Switching it over to A.M.
Searching for a truer sound
Can't recall the call letters
Steel guitar and settle down
Catching an all night station
Somewhere in Louisiana
It sounds like 1963
But for now it sounds like heaven
May the wind take your troubles away
May the wind take your troubles away
Both feet on the floor, two hands on the wheel
May the wind take your troubles away
May the wind take your troubles away
May the wind take your troubles away...

Windfall is one of my favorite songs that we cover/play in the band. People just stop what they are doing and listen. It's not a dance song, but it makes people pay attention. Thanks for sharing this version.
